Franz
Franz Pipe was born in 2012 by pure chance. Roberto Franzini comes to the office with a cheap pipe bought recently. A colleague looks at him and comments "He thinks my dentist (Angelo Fassi) makes them as a hobby". In that moment a genuine curiosity and the desire to try was born. Franz sets up a small workshop in the garage with the few tools available and begins to produce the first pipes. Gradually the holes begin to be precise, the heads begin to follow the desired shapes and the pipes begin to meet the interest of enthusiasts of the slow smoke. Franz prefers the Danish style: slender pipes of medium-small dimensions and not excessively long. The briar is of Italian origin while the ebonite and cumberland are purchased in Germany. Production is limited to about fifty pipes a year, all rigorously made in the garage.
